FERTILITY & REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH SERVICES
Family Planning is the ability of individuals and couples to anticipate and attain their desired number of children and the spacing and timing of their births. It is achieved through use of contraceptive methods and the treatment of involuntary infertility. The availability of family planning services allows individuals to achieve desired birth spacing and family size, and contributes to improved health outcomes for infants, children, birthing people, and families.

PREGNANCY & CHILDBIRTH SERVICES
In the United States, black birthing people are now 4-5 times more likely to die from pregnancy and postpartum related complications. 75% of maternal deaths are due to chronic diseases, sepsis, severe postpartum bleeding, and infection. Our experienced and multi-skilled childbirth doulas will provide comprehensive education, doula care, and support to decrease maternal-infant mortality rates and provide physical and emotional support.

PRE-OP AND POST-OP DOULA SUPPORT
In the United States 7 million people suffer complications following surgery each year, including at least 1 million deaths, many in which are preventable. Pre-Operative and Post-Operative Doula Support refers to care, support and education provided before and after a surgical operation. The aim of preoperative and postoperative care is to do whatever is right to increase the success of the surgery and promote a fast and healthy recovery.

POSTPARTUM DOULA SERVICES
The postpartum period begins immediately after the delivery of the placenta. During this time the body will start the process of returning to the non-pregnant state causing hormone levels to drop, milk to form in the breasts, and the uterus to shrink in size. All of these changes can cause an increase in postpartum mood disorders, stress, and fatigue. Postpartum support can increase a positive and thriving postpartum transition.

Certified Breastfeeding Support
Black birthing people are 4-5 times more likely to be offered formula as opposed to adequate breastfeeding support. Breastfeeding doesn’t come with a manual and it can be challenging to find the right resources to support your breastfeeding journey. Our breastfeeding specialists are Certified and available and ready to support.

Placenta Encapsulation Services
The placenta is an organ surrounding the fetus inside the womb and allows for the exchange of nutrients, blood, and waste with the mother. It is expelled from the uterus after the birth of the child. The custom of consuming the placenta, often done as placental encapsulation, is centuries old, practiced most often in Chinese medicine. Placenta Encapsulation is the practice of ingesting the placenta after cleaning, steaming, dehydrating, grounding and putting into capsules.
According to statistics, Black women are nine times likely to be offered formula as opposed to adequate breastfeeding support while birthing in hospitals. If you desire to breastfeed, whether birthing in a hospital, at home, or a birth center, our team is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based breastfeeding support. Our Lactation Consultants are Certified by an approved training program with years of experience working inside hospitals and local commmunities.

Childbirth Education Classes
Childbirth education has been shown to reduce fear and anxiety while increasing confidence in expectant people. Learning about how to take care of yourself and your child as you prepare to give birth can help in a multitude of ways. In a study published by the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology (AJOG), participating in childbirth classes can reduce the rates of adverse delivery outcomes like failed induction and unplanned C-sections.
